Destined for Grace exists due to your generous donations.
It is extremely important that we receive donations so that we can further our work in Haiti and provide children with love, hope and faith.
We are excited to announce that for the first time we will be offering a summer school and art program for our students in Haiti. We have hired three teachers to teach art, embroidery and macrame. Students will be taught dance routines, how to embroider clothing and how to make shoes and bags. Along with academic instruction and art electives, the students will receive one hot meal each day.
The program will run for five weeks from July 23rd – August 24th.
We reached our goal and Summer School is a go! Due to your generous doantions, we have reached our goal of $5,000.00 for our Summer School and Art Program in Haiti.
In an effort to complete our school campus, we are working to raise $3000 for the exterior painting of our buildings. If you are willing to donate towards this need, we would be most appreciative!
Each school day the students at Ecole Destined For Grace receive a hot meal for lunch. Our meal program provides a wide variety of food options for the students including eggs, vegetables, fruits, salmon sauce, potatoes, rice and beans. This program is essential for our students ability to learn in the classroom. For many students it is one of the only meals they can depend on. Our students are more likely to attend class and stay attentive when they have been provided a well-balanced meal. Our teachers have seen what a difference this program has made in the students ability to learn and be engaged in the classroom.
Each month we spend $1,000 on food for our students. If you want to donate to this program please note meal program in your memo line.
Now that our new building is complete, we need to furnish the school with desks, chairs, tables and chalkboards for our students to learn! The following is a breakdown of what the items needed cost:
We can always use general donations for ongoing programs at our school to provide our students with a well rounded education. If you are unsure of what your donation can provide for, here is a general guideline:
$1 – pens/ pencils
$10 – one student’s books
$35 – desk
$125- Student’s tuition

We also take personal supplies such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, washcloths, etc. to Haiti on our volunteer trips. If you would like to make a donation of supplies contact us by email so we can let you know where to drop them off. Or, you can write a check and indicate supplies in the memo line.
If you have airline miles (American Airlines) that you know you will not use you can donate them to us. We travel to Haiti at least three times a year and could always put your extra miles to good use. Contact us if this is something you would like to do.
